Christopher has composed music from a young age and at Music 'A' Level achieved full marks for his composition coursework.

In 2009 Christopher's first musical, Over The Threshold, for which he wrote the music, lyrics and book, was produced in Edinburgh where it was critically acclaimed receiving six 5 star reviews. It played to sell out audiences and was nominated in the MTM: UK Awards in the following three categories - Best New Lyrics, Best New Music and Best New Musical. It beat off strong competition to win the award for Best New Music. Over The Threshold transferred to London, was produced in Vienna in 2010 and a concert version was also produced in New York. Christopher won the Second Tim Williams Award for his song 'No good at love' with lyrics by Sir Noël Coward. The following year, he won the Third Tim Williams Award for his song 'Burn' with lyrics by Tennessee Williams making him the first composer to win two Tim Williams Awards.

In 2010 Christopher contributed four songs to the debut album of West End star Dianne Pilkington - 'Little Stories'.

In 2011 Christopher was commissioned to write several songs for the debut album of West End performer Shimi Goodman including the title track 'When You Hear My Voice'.

Two of Christopher's songs reached the final of the Stiles & Drewe Song Writing Competition and the following year one of his songs reached the final of the same competition.

Christopher won the Audience Club 'Old Words/New Theatrical Song' with his song 'Marching Matildas' with lyrics by Eric Bogle. ("Hamilton is clearly a very gifted composer" The British Theatre Guide).

Christopher has completed a new musical with Susannah Pearse, Melody Towers for which he has written the music, co written the lyrics and contributed to the book. At the end of 2011 a workshop was held in London including cast members Mazz Murray, Alexia Khadime, Dianne Pilkington, Nicole Faraday, Carly Bawden, Alex Young and Nicola Henderson.

In 2012 Christopher was commissioned to write a number of songs for a project entitled 'When You Hear My Voice' (named after one of his original songs). Presented by the London Shakespeare Workout with the collaboration of the Young Offenders' Unit at Corradino in Malta, Christopher composed ten out of the fifteen songs. ("...excellent composer" Times of Malta; "....impressive composer" Sunday Times).

Christopher took part in Work In Process 3: Blind Date which paired together a number of musical theatre composers and lyricists who had never previously worked together. After being matched up via 'personal ads', each of the paired song-writing teams were given two months to write a romantic song inspired by Iris Theatre's summer romantic comedy production, 'As You Like It'. Christopher was paired up with lyricist Blanche Girouard and their song 'Wooing the Masculine Way' was highly commended by the judges.

Christopher's and Susannah Pearse's song 'Does Anybody Know My Name' was selected as part of 'A Song Cycle for Soho', a musical song cycle exploring the history of Soho, written by up and coming British composers and lyricists, with musical direction from Tony Award winner Sarah Travis. The production was staged at the Soho Theatre.

Several of Christopher's songs are included on commercially available CDs including Shona White's, Dianne Pilkington's, Shimi Goodman's and on the CD entitled 'Standing Ovation'.
